Complete 360*
I've decided to change my perspective. Thanks for the email that made me open my eyes. There are great things all around me. I've got great friends, and we're all healthy. The biggest health issue we have going on is a couple leaky valves, and I think that those will turn out fine (we all hope so at least). But i've decided that everyday has something to look forward to, for example getting to watch Elf tomorrow for band. Maybe everyday when i come home i should put in Elf because how can you stay in a sad mood when you have a forty year old man acting like a child? I'm glad that all of you are my friends, and I hope that nothing ever happens to you. Today i read in a book that said "Live every day like it's your last, because some day it will be." And that's true you're never guaranteed to live till tomorrow. (That doesn't mean you have to get all your work done today so you're guaranteed to have it in by it's deadline ; ) ...) We've got to take advantage of what we're givin whenever we can. So the next time you get upset, just think of a forty year old man in spandex, and i'm sure it will brighten your day. : D
Stay strong live long, and have a happy tomorrow.

That was a very inspiring post.
While it didnt make me feel like I was surrounded by rainbows and puppies, I did notice that my heart felt lighter (which contrary to how that sounds, is not necessarily a bad thing). It brought that sparkle of hope my eye, just like the one in Ma Joad's when Pa asks, "Tom's gone...now what do we do?"...and she says: "We keep goin'"
So thats what I got from it I guess, "Keep on truckin'" just ignore the Grapes of Wrath references (blame Bruce Springsteen)---unless of course there is a drought, and we are all in danger of a dust bowl and are forced to move to California....
Welcome to a new beginning
Welcome to a brand new side of me
This will be the life I'm meant to lead
More than just a midlife crisis
This will be a lighthouse in my soul
Taking me to what the future holds
So I will live my life
Knowing I've got just one chance to make it right
Hope will be on my side this time
Okay....so now that you have this happy/positive outlook on life, ya think ya might wanna update ya blog, brotha man?
(okay, sorry, but for some reason it keeps surfacing in my mind, and Maggie and I decided its a new alternative nickname for you--so you cant do nothin bout it!)
