February 26, 2005

Yesterday was bittersweet. First of all it was kinda bad because we got 3rd in OID and the other LC OID got 1st, that really sucked. But it's ok because Mrs. Hoss said we're still going to be the District OID, which made me happy. I was also happy because i got 4th in Humerous, but everyone that beat me was C-1, so I was the best C-2 Humerous Prose at the Raider. It also my mom's birthday so that was fun too, we had steak and chicken and cake. I also got to hang out with all of my speech friends at the Kozy, and i went to a movie with Tyler last night. It was fun. So, I have to say that my day ended up more sweet than bitter. I'm glad that everything worked out so well. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

Sargeant Speech

YAY!!! We got first again!!! Not only for the GOID, but the entire team. We beat the other OID, which again made me really happy. But i did really bad in Humerous Prose, while i did get into finals i got last in finals. Which really sucks. But I performed really badly. The sad thing is that i was going in to finals 3rd, and came out 6th. Hopefully we'll continue to do well at the Raider, and on to Districts, and hopefully state. I'm really proud of fellow GOIDers, i just hope the river continues to flow in this direction. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

Conference

YAY!! We won OID! Okay, it isn't that big of a deal because we had beaten all of the other OID's already. Humerous was bad, either i did worse than i though, or that judge didn't like how i did. I'm going to have to kick it into high gear to do well in humerous. And GOID just has to keep doing what we do best. I don't know much else, so i'm going to end this post. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

Happy Valentines Day

Okay, so none of us have any boyfriend/girlfriend, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun on days like today. Too many times i've heard people complain because they're alone on Valentine's Day, they should be happy; I'm sure their wallet is thanking them. I had fun today, and the rest of you should have too. I know some of you had bad days, and some of it is out of your control. But you have to make sure you go for the brightest part in every day. If you accentuate the negatives you'll die never having lived a happy day. If you enjoy the positives you die the happiest person on Earth. If you didn't get candy be thankful that you aren't going to get a tummy-ache from eating too mcuh chocolate, if you did get candy be thankful that someone cares enough about you to give you a gift. Valentines Day is a day to enjoy your freinds, and be happy that we all share a common love (me, of course ;)...) We'll always be shoulders to cry on, or the first person ready to give you a high five. Any where you go in life, you'll never be alone. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

A GREAT day, became BETTER!!!

I didn't think it was possible but my day became twice as good as it was before. And that made it turn out to be one spectacular day. The dance was fun, some of the songs were dumb, but it was a nice mix of fast and slow songs, with a little bit of Polka. The good thing about this DJ is that he didn't overload on the polkas sometimes DJs try to play like six polkas and it just doesn't work well. It was a lot of fun. And Jon came so that made it all the better, i thought he was going to skip out. I was also happy i got to dance with all of my friends, and was also able to have fun while dancing. i.e. fast-forward dancing, lol. I had a great time, and now i'm looking forward to prom even more, it's always becomes more fun once the majority of the people leave. But i'm happy when all of my closest friends stay. Dances are the kind of things that i'm going to miss when i get into college, how am i going to show off my fancy moves? Anyway, I hope the rest of you had as much fun as i did. Keep it real. UNO, oh, that's nice

Okay, so I visited UNO today, but it wasn't quite what i had hoped for. But there was one benefit, we discovered that UNO is the prefered choice of Jail ecapees. The director of admissions told everyone that UNO is safe because a jail escapee was caught on their cameras and eventually caught, wait, doesn't that mean that a prisoner escaped and went to UNO, do you really want to be where the prisoners go when they escape? The campus wasn't bad, but I didn't really like the housing, but other than that it was pretty nice. I want all of you to wish me luck for tomorrow when i go in for my interview, and hopefully my overnight geek convention will be fun. I hope you all have a good time at school, and I'll see you on Saturday morning for speech, or possibly Friday night, so please let me know if anything is going on Friday night. I'll talk to you all later. Keep it real. Irish Midget.
