It's all good

Ok, this is to let you know that all of my hard work during football payed off. Last night at our awards banquet I recieved the "Gatorade Best Defensive Player Award" and it was really cool. I got a bag, a t-shirt, a pin, and a certificate. So it is really cool, you all have to see it sometime. But the shirt is huge, it's XL. The haunted house was pretty cool. It was somewhat scary, but it was even cooler when you know all of the people. I'll probably have a post tomorrow after the party. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

The Rock: part Deux (it sounded cool when Steph wrote it)

This is an update to a previos post-The Rock. I have completed my rock. And if I may say so myself it looks pretty good. (Just nod and agree) If you want to see my rock it will be on display in the Northeast corner of the practice football field. Please don't make fun of my rock because I put a lot of time and work into making it look like it does. You can dislike it, but please keep it to yourself. If you can find a rock get it home carve your name into with your own two hands and make one that looks better, go right ahead, until you do so don't make fun of mine. I think it looks pretty neat because it kinda looks like a spear tip or aarow head. I hope you all get a chance to see it. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

A day in the life of Reid

Ok in this blog i'm going to recount the past 29 hrs. to the best of my ability. To start things off, ACTs sucked, the Science part was really tough. Then I got to have a romantic meal with Maggie (McDonald's) (and a packed McDonald's at that). Then we drove to my house and my mom was raking leaves so we decided to talk with her for a little bit, then Maggie left. I told her that if she wanted to do something later to call.
So then I helped my mom rake leaves, and we piled them into the back of the truck and dropped them off at the dump. When we got home my mom decided that the lawn badly needed to be mowed. So my mom started push-mowing the front, and I came inside to change into "mowing clothes". So then i went and got the riding mower out, and it was working properly so I went to go get my mom to see if she knew what the problem was. So, I went to the front got my mom and as we were walking to the garage we noticed a deer. It was standing in our yard about twenty feet away from us, and we couldn't scare it away until finally we were able to get it to leave our yard. Then it went up near Jim Iske's house and Ryan was pulling up so he scared it away from his house. So it started to run, and it stopped running in our yard, then it just moseyed away to someone elses yard.
So I'm surprised so I'm like hey, I'm going to call and tell Maggie about our guest. So I call her, tell her about the deer, and ask if we were doing anything that night. She said that Steph was going to call me. So i'm like ok, if I don't answer tell her to leave a message because I'm probably working on the yard. So about every forty minutes I would come in to see if anyone had called. I get done with the yard, and decide that the truck needs washed, so me and my mom went downtown and washed the truck. We get back, and still no messages on the machine. I decide that I'll call Maggie to see what's going on, she isn't home. So I'm like ok, I'll call Steph, and she's not home. So i go outside and finish drying off the truck. So the leaves are gone, the yard is done, and the truck is clean; AND I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN MY CALL!!!!
So I go inside and I start watching T.V. and my sister calls to talk to my mom, I got excited because I thought it might be for me. So I'm tired so I decide that I might take a nap, but then i decide that I'll call Steph's house one more time and as I'm going to get the phone it rings, and YAY!! it's for me. So then i go take a shower to clean off the yard stuff, and I grab some games to go to Steph's. And then I started watching Friends with Maggie and Steph. Then when that gets over Charley comes, and we get our food from our College Smorgasbord and start wathing The Might Ducks. So we stop part way through and started playing Taboo (which got kinda bad because Steph continually tried to cheat). When we were done with Taboo we went and watched some more Mighty Ducks, then Kayla came. And then we stopped the movie again and watched some mini-clips and then finished the movie. Then i went home.
I didn't get up this morning till 12:30. So I feel refreshed from the week. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

Boredom and ACTs (coincidence they occur on the same blog?)

Hey, sorry that i haven't posted recently, and this one isn't going to be very long. I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that i'm done with football and i'm not going out for Basketball, so i'm going to be bored a lot more often. I have to take a nap because i'm really tired. So I'm going to say this before i fall asleep. Good luck to everyone on the ACTs hopefully you'll all do well (but hopefully i'll do better ; ) ........) Talk to you later. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

The Rock

Ok, so I still haven't posted a full story about what happened last night, but now I have a different story to tell. So today I was getting all my Senior Picture stuff together, and I figured out the outfits I'm going to wear, and I was going to get hair cut. But then I remembered that I still had to get a rock for football. (All of the seniors are required to get a rock, because we are making a wall for football, and every year the seniors that have been in FB for 4 years will get to add a rock to the wall, and the cornerstones are going to be Jacob, Chris, Josh, Juntin, and me. Because coach continually says how we are building up the football program and us seniors are the base of the program.) So me and Garrett (my brother) went out to the dam and found a REALLY BIG ROCK. It was so heavy that we both had to carry it. So now I'm proud of my grayish white rock. It's about 24in. x 18in. x 6in. Pretty much, a big rock. So now I have to find a way to carve my name into the rock, so that should be hard, while still being fun. I hope all of you had a great day. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

The message to Steph - Abridged, Condensed

(this is a fragment of a letter I sent to Steph. I'll do an actual post later, but right now I have to do Senior picture stuff so I don't' have the time) So then she calls later to tell me to call her when I'm ready to leave, I thought it was kinda strange, but I thought that maybe she just wanted a time frame for when I would show up, so I passed it off as nothing. So then when I show up, I was actually kinda surprised at how quickly everyone was up and ready to go, I was like wow, these people must be hungry. So then we go on our way. And "Awkward Pregnant Pause" I was like, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?, it was strange because right before you said it Holly and Charley were whispering so I thought they did it somehow. So being that I thought they were trying to confuse me, I again passed it off. Then they were all like, "I miss Steph", "I do too", and "so do I" so me being the kidder I am (And thinking about that if you hadn't been away how I probably wouldn't be with Maggie, and I wouldn't be as good of friends with you) Say "I don't", along with a quick rebuttal of "Just Kidding" (This was pre-planned and was an immediate follow up, because I did miss you) Then to my surprise the beastie jumped out from the shadows saying something incomprehensible, so we killed it. Wait, no, that was Lord of the Flies, sorry. So then something (you) jumped from the backseat and said, "YOU ASS-HOLE" and I was like what??? Is that Steph, but she's supposed to be gone, how did that happen??? But it was a pleasant surprise. Thank you so much for my gifts too. I really appreciate them, I will keep my keychain forever (I would say the same thing about the box, the wrapper, and the postcard; but I lost all of those things, oops) So I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again on Monday, talk to you later.

Nobody "FOIL-ed" the plan to pimp Maggie's ride

Last night Holly and I decided that Maggie's car needed a "makeover", so we decided that we couldn't stand by idly as her car seemed to be depressed, because it was starting to feel old, so we figured we would give it a little "update". We wanted it to look like a tin car, and we were hoping nobody would foil our plan. So we got our supplies ready: tin foil, athletic tape, flashlight, camera, and some warm clothes (because it was cold). And we moved into action. It took us a while, but it looked "hot". Then we decided that it would be nice to see Maggie's reaction, so while we were waiting Holly decided that she wanted to go see Jon Schwa. so we went over to Shawn Schwa.'s house, to see Jon. So we were there for a while, and every so often i went to see if the Drama class was back yet. And finally at 1:15 Holly was going to take me to get my car from the bowling alley, because she was going to have to go home soon. And as we were going to her car, we saw the bus coming to the school. I ran over to where they had parked there cars, and hid and waited for the bus to pull up, and for Maggie to realize that her car had been "altered", so then when she noticed her car I came out of the shadows and said "We pimped yo ride", then when she was taking me to the Bowling Alley to get my car, a lot of the tin foil was falling off and flying around so I helped her remove it from her car, which kinda made me sad, but it had to be done so she could safely drive home. We put the tin foil into a ball so she could show her parrents. I was dissapointed that we couldn't get any pictures of it in the light, but we at least got some at night, maybe we'll have to do it again sometime, so we can see how it looks in the sunlight. (Watch out, it might happen to your car next.) Oh, I never got home until like 1:40, but my parents didn't really mind. I look forward to pimping someone elses ride soon. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

Reid

P.S. Don't pimp my ride, because it's the family car. Sorry.

P.S.S. (Holly, you can't read this part) I'm going to tell you all Holly was the true driving force behind the scheme, it was my idea, but she's the one who said that we should do it, so pimp her ride next, that would only be the fair way to do it.

P.S.S. I expect many comments on this one, or I'll be extremely dissapointed in all of you.

YUM!!!!

Tonight for our team night the team came to my house for lasagna. And let me just say, the food was DELICIOUS. My mom made lasagna, homemade buns, and choco. chip bars. They were all extremely good. And the house looked nice, I don't know how many times people commented on how nice it looked, and two people asked me if we were rich, because our house was so nice, and two other people said that our house seemed like a fancy restraunt. They all told my mom how great the meal was, and she really enjoyed that. I was surprised at how much they enjoyed the meal. We should have a meal at my house sometimes, among the friends, and maybe my mom would make us some good food (actually all of her food is good, so i should say maybe she would make us some food). I hope ER was good, it better have been, otherwise I'll be upset that people chose it over me. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

P.S. Did I mention the meal was AMAZING???

And herman wins by a nose.

Yay!!! Today i got to tell herman and derman to the football team, you should have seen how upset some of them were when i got done!! It was so funny. Let me explain, today after conditioning coach said he needed a joke or else we would do more conditioning, so he started counting down from five, at one i said i would tell a joke. So I begin telling the joke, and I make sure to be extremely enthusiastic, i get about half way and the guys start telling me to hurry it up. So then i tell the joke, and when i'm done they were upset that they sat there and listened just for that, while I laughed extremely hard. Anyway, I thought it was funny. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

Dinner with "The Fam"

I had a great time tonight. I went with Maggie and her family to the Captain's Table for crab leg buffet. It was delicious, this was the first time i've ever eaten crab legs. I don't know how he does it, but Jody was flying through the crab legs, i don't know where he puts it. It was so good, but i couldn't eat very much so I was dissapointed in myself. I thought that i might get a talk from Maggie's dad, but somehow it never happened, not that i'm complaining : ) ... I was really surprised when they invited me, I didn't quite know where we were going, all i knew is that i was invited to supper at Kearney. I didn't imagine that we were going somewhere so nice, I thought maybe a sports bar to watch the game, but then when i found out that we were going for crab legs I was really surprised. But i'm really happy that i was invited. And since Steph said it, I'm also glad that when i returned home i was still alive and conscious. I hope that I'm able to do stuff with her family again because i had a really nice time. Keep it real. Irish Midget.

One of the Greatest Nights of My Entire Life

Besides the lack of sleep last night was amazing, no we didn't win our football game, but oh well. It was amazing because after the game in the locker-room one of my coaches that used to play football in college said that I was doing really well and if i keep it up that college teams might notice me and I could have a chance of playing in for them!!! I was excited when i heard that, but I didn't think much of it because he always says really nice things, and being that he likes me anyways he has a biased view. So I went home (still drenched in sweat) and Maggie was here, ready to go. So I had to run and take a quick shower. Then I came out all dressed and ready to go. Maggie looked really nice (you should have seen her Steph). So we went to the dance, and got there at 10:36 the doors closed at 10:30 but Mrs. Supanchick let us in anyway. So I was having a really great time at the dance. And coach Bauer was there waiting for the game film to be dubbed so he was waiting at the dance, and he told me to come over and talk to him. I didn't know what he wanted to talk to me about so I went over there. And he told me that he was going to take a game film down to UNK to show the recruiters Chris, and he asked if he could have some of my info (phone number, adress, etc.) to give to the recruiters to see if I would have a chance to play with them!!! I was blown away coach is actually going to show recruiters a film of me, for a chance to play football in college!! So then I went back to and danced and had an AMAZING time. I wish that everyone (including Sarah, Steph, Kayla, and the rest of the crew) could have been there, that would have been the only thing that could have made it better. I hope you all had as good of a night as I did, and if you didn't, I hope your amazing night is soon to come. Thank you to everyone who helped make last night so great. Keep it real. Irish Midget.
